Abramovic-Kahlo-Xiuwen Comparison
(posting due week after break, October 20)
Using the resources below and our discussion in class as a beginning, research the works of Marina Abramovic, Frida Kahlo, and Cui Xiuwen and write a summary comparison (of approx. 350-500 words) of these three artists' work as "self-portraits/female portrayals" on your blogsite. This is not to be a retelling of their biographical information; this is to be a creative and critical look at their bodies of work which you will develop into a thoughtful comparison of their uses of the "portrait"--contextual, conceptual, and aesthetic. I am looking for IDEA not REGURGITATION.
